Japan have drawn 2-2 after Japan striker Hidetoshi Nakata scored in the last minute against Bosnia-Herzegovina to save Japan’s blushes in their World Cup warm-up played in Germany.

Japan, who unlike Bosnia managed to qualify for the World Cup in June, had put the Bosnian’s under pressure early on and the Bosnia's only first-half chance was in the third minute, when Sergej Barbarez failed to head Vladan Misimovic's cross into the net.

Japan took the lead in the 45th minute when Shunsuke Nakamura's corner was deflected in to the goal by Naohiro Takahara.

Bosnia dominated the second half, and the equalizer came from a 57th-minute penalty kick awarded for a foul on forward Sergej Barbarez.

Vladan Misimovic converted the spot-kick by placing the ball past the keeper into the left corner.

Bosnia’s domination showed as they took the lead 10 minutes later when Barbarez passed to Emir Spahic, who headed the ball into the net to make it 2-1.

Bosnia seemed to have thegame won, until in the last minute of the game, Japanese striker Nakata headed into the top left corner of the goal to equalise for Zico's Japan, and the game finished 2-2.
