World Cup Qualifying CONCACAF Zone - Full-Time Scores:

Trinidad and Tobago progress to a play-off with Bahrain after beating CONCACAF rivals Mexico 2-1 in their final match in the zone's qualifying games.

Full time scores:

Guatemala 3 - 1 Costa Rica
United States 2 - 0 Panama
Trinidad & Tobago 2 - 1 Mexico

At half-time, the Guatemalan's were in the driving seat, with a 3-0 lead over Costa Rica. Trinidad and Tobago went into the half-time break level with Mexico on 1-1, and knew that anything other than a win would see them crash out of contention.

If the results had stayed this way, Guatemala would have leap-frogged Trinidad and Tobago into fourth place, with a superior goal difference, and so earn themselves the valuable matches against Bahrain.

A second goal from T & T's Stern John in the second-half for Trinidad & Tobago saw the balance of power change, and the 'Warriors' held on against the mighty Mexico to earn themselves a play-off against Bahrain, who, with their aggregate defeat of Uzbekistan earlier today, have won the Asia Zone play-off 1-1 on aggregate.
