Arsenal Boss Wenger Will Not Play Theo Walcott In Champions League Final V Barcelona
Arsenal have confirmed that Theo Walcott will not play any part against Barcelona in the Champions League final on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old England new boy is the talk of world football after Sven Goran Eriksson surprised everyone by naming him in his England squad for the World Cup Finals in Germany.
The promising striker hasn’t yet featured for Arsenal in The Premiership since arriving at Highbury from Southampton in January, and now Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he will not feature for the Gunners this season.
Strangely, although Wenger is the man who recommended Walcott to England coach Sven Goran Eriksson to appear on the world stage, it seems the Frenchman does not feel he is ready to feature for Arsenal on the European stage.
Wenger is likely to stick with the team that has played so well in the run=up to the finals in Paris, with Thierry Henry to lead the attack, with Jose Antonio Reyes backing him up.
