Wales face the South American World Cup contenders Paraguay at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium tonight with a new Kappa Retro Look Kit reminiscent of the 1958 World Cup the only time Wales have qualified for the finals.

Wales whose Euro 2008 qualifying campaign kicks off in August will be hoping for a morale boosting victory at home in their awesome stadium.

Paraguay who are in Group B with England at the Germany World Cup finals will be taking this game very seriously.

Roy Evans the former Liverpool boss and Wales Assistant Manager reckons Jason Koumas of Cardiff City’s Bluebirds can make the difference tonight.

"He has the ability to be one of our top players,"

"His vision, his passing ability can make him one of our better midfielders.

"It is down to Jason now to fulfil the promise that he has shown for too many years."

John Toshack the Wales Manger will play his Captain Ryan Giggs in his usual attacking playmaker role. Giggs’ veteran displays for Manchester United and his country have proven his ability at this level. No doubt he will take the game to Paraguay and put them under pressure.
Giggs will certainly be looking to secure an early lead and get the crowd behind the team at home.

Paraguay are missing some of the players they will be taking to the World Cup. Star striker Roque Santa Cruz is still recovering from a knee operation that the Bayern Munich hit-man underwent last year, while captain Carlos Gamarra has picked up a back injury.

Haedo Valdez and Jose Cardozo look likely to lead the attack, however, coach Mano Ruiz might well give Udinese player, 17-year-old Jose Montiel another chance to promote his claims for a World Cup starting place.
