Wales & Blackburn's Craig Bellamy May Head To Spurs - Chelsea & Liverpool Interested

Blackburn Rovers and Wales striker Craig Bellamy is being discussed as a possible target for a move away from Blackburn to Tottenham Hotspur, who have qualified for next years UEFA Cup.

The 27-year-old has had arguably the best season of his career under the management of former Manchester United and Chelsea striker Mark Hughes, scoring 13 goals in 22 starts, averaging a goal every 33 minutes, with some stunning strikes marked by his sharp shooting & blistering pace.

He has also become a target for other top premiership sides with Chelsea and Liverpool also being linked with the talented international.

The Wales head coach John Toshak was expected name the Blackburn striker in his attack against Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday, but the Blackburn forward has pulled out along with Manchester United's Ryan Giggs.

But Toshack does not believe the 27-year-old will be affected by the speculation of a move to a different club.

"Craig is always bubbly when he is with us, his attitude is always very good," said the Wales boss.

"He was unfortunate he has picked up injuries and that has been frustrating for Blackburn as well as us.

"He has always wanted to get involved from day one, I have not noticed any real difference with him here.

"I think he has a clause in his contract that for a certain amount of money he can move on," said Toshak.

"Blackburn will obviously be very keen to keep him because he has been instrumental in their run in the Premier League this season.

"I don't know about his situation but I would not be surprised if there were a few clubs sniffing about there."

It is thought that a bid of £10 million (€14 million) would be enough to prise Bellamy away from Blackburn, and it looks like a move to London may be on the cards.

(Many apologies, but this article previously had some MAJOR mistakes in the content. Many apologies for this, and we will make sure that never happens again.

The quotes are from the Wales manager John Toshak, and in no way form the basis of truth that Bellamy did indeed have a release clause in his contract, and the match that Bellamy has pulled-out from is the match against Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday.

Once again many apologies if we misled anyone.

For those saying there is no clause...

There is a clause in his contract that provides the option for the team interested to pay a fee to Blackburn Rovers and sign the player and that is according to the Wales manager.
