Coach Luis Aragones has handed first call-ups to Valencia centre-back Raul Albiol and Espanyol midfielder Albert Riera, as he picked the 20-man squad for the Euro 2008 Group F qualifier in Denmark on October 13.
Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso, however, is out with a foot injury and would not have been able to play this game any way due to suspension.
Spain are second in Group F and have 19 points same as Sweden, who however have played a game less. Northern Ireland are in third place with 16 points and Denmark, who have a game in hand, are fourth with 14.
