Valencia President Juan Soler Asks Manchester United To Name Their Price For Portugal Winger Cristiano Ronaldo - Real Interested

Valencia president Juan Soler has asked Manchester United to name their price for Portugal winger Cristiano Ronaldo after repeated attempts to sign him.

Ronaldo's time at Old Trafford looked to have ended due to his part in Wayne Rooney's dismissal when England faced Portugal in the World Cup quarter-finals, with Real Madrid just one of the top Spanish sides making public their interest in signing Ronaldo.

The hugely talented but petulant 21-year-old has been told that he is going to stay at Manchester United by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, but despite repeated requests for a transfer after the World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo has since claimed he is happy to stay at Old Trafford.

Despite the recent statements from Old Trafford, Valencia president Soler has now repeated his club's aim of bringing Ronaldo to join Valencia’s other new recruits from The Premiership - Fernando Morientes from Liverpool and Chelsea’s Asier Del Horno.

“I have always said it will be difficult,” said Soler to Marca, the Spanish sports website, adding: “But nothing is impossible.

“Until they tell us No several times we will not give up.

"At the moment it's a priority for our technical department and we have until August 31 (the date the European transfer window closes).

“First we will negotiate with the English club and then the player.”
