England Coach Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed that Liverpool Striker Peter Crouch will definitely be included in the England squad in the World Cup Finals.

Eriksson confirmed that the former Southampton striker is sure to be included in the squad travelling to Germany next June, but voiced concerns that former Liverpool striker Michael Owen might not be match fit in time to make the squad.

Eriksson, who spoke during his visit to Germany to check the England World Cup base, spoke from the hotel where the England team will be located during the World Cup, the Buhlerhohe Schlosshotel, high in the mountains above Baden Baden in Germany.

"I am not worried about Peter Crouch, he is playing every game now, and he is very important for Liverpool," said Eriksson.

To finish all speculation, the England boss concluded: "He will be going to the finals."

The England boss also voiced concerns over the fitness of Arsenal's Ashley Cole and Sol Campbell and Newcastle United striker Michael Owen ahead of the World Cup.

“I have concerns about all of them, I would say, because we're in the middle of March and the season finishes for them at the beginning of May,” said the England boss.
