Tunisia striker Issam Jemaa was forced to withdraw from the Carthage Eagles World Cup squad today after injuring his right knee, a Tunisian team spokesman said.

Jemaa will be replaced by 21-year-old Chaouki Ben Saada of SC Bastia who won the under-17 world championship with France in 2001 before switching nationality to Tunisia.

22-year-old Jemaa has earned 12 caps for Tunisia, with only one goal, had not been expected to be in the starting line-up for Roger Lemerre’s team.

Tunisia have been drawn in Group H alongside Saudi Arabia, Spain and Ukraine.
