Tottenham Hotspur have beaten Italian champions Inter Milan 2-1 in a pre-season friendly match at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Finland international attacking midfielder Teemu Tainio scored a brace to give Spurs the win over the Serie A giants, with Nigerian interbnational striker Obafeme Martins Scoring an equaliser in the 43rd minute for Inter Milan.

Tottenham dominated the first-half and opened tyhe scoring in the 37th minute with a deflected shot by Tainio, with Martins levelling just before half-time.

The visitors started to take control of the game in the second-half, but Tottenham held on and came back into the game, with the Finnish star sealing the win for Spurs in the 80th minute, with a stunning strike after the North Londoners finished the match well in control.
