Togo Striker Moustapha Salifou Joins Aston Villa From French Club-Side Stade Brest - O'Neill Makes Late Move For Togo Forward

Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Togo international striker Moustapha Salifou from French club side Stade Brest on Friday.

The 24-year-old Togolese forward has signed for Martin O'Neill's team on a one-year contract in the last hours of the Summer 2007 transfer window.

Salifou, who received a call-up for Togo's Les Eperviers squad for their World Cup squad for the finals in Germany 2006, has attracted interest from a host of European clubs, but sealed a deal with The Villans late on Friday, with only hours left before the transfer dealine ends at 12 midnight on Friday 31st August.
