Otto Pfister announced the debut Togo squad for the World Cup with Bayern Leverkusen's Defender Toure Assimiou and Arsenal's Sheyi Adebayor being the two most known players in the squad. Togo have been through a series of bad appearances and do not resemble Steven Keshi's team during the World Cup 2006 Qualifiers and Pfister aknowledged the fact that Togo are clearly the underdogs in the tournament.
