Sven-Goran Eriksson Names England Squad To Face Argentina In International Friendly Game

England coach Sven Goran Eriksson has announced his squad to face Argentina in a game which will strangely enough be played in Geneva, Switzerland. The Swede coach did not go ahead with his expected call-up of Jonathan Woodgate, as the later suffered an injury again on today's Real Madrid game against Real Zaragoza.

Woodgate was substituted just 23 minutes into the game possibly due to a hamstring injury, which is very unfortunate after his 17 month absence from action.

Chelsea's Wayne Bridge call-up came as a surprise, he has only played for 60 minutes this season after an 8-month injury absense.

"Wayne Bridge played in the Carling Cup for Chelsea so I want to see him. It is important for him to come back into international football because he is the second best left-back in the country behind Ashley Cole" Eriksson told reporters.
