Spain Midfielder Xabi Alonso Injured During Liverpool's Premiership Match V Portsmouth - May Miss FA Cup V West Ham

Spain and Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso has been injured in Liverpool’s 3-1 win away to Portsmouth on Sunday.

Alonso had to be carried from the field after falling awkwardly in the 41st minute and is now a major doubt for next weekend's FA Cup final against West Ham at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff.

There was no one anywhere near Alonso as he had control of the ball in midfield, but suddenly the Spaniard collapse to the ground in agony and was taken off after it was clear he wouldn't be able to continue.
