Socceroos Keeper Mark Schwarzer Puts in Transfer Request From Middlesbrough FC
Australia national goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has put in a surprise transfer request to leave his English Premiership club Middlesbrough FC.
The Socceroos keeper, who's goalkeeping heroics in the penalty shoot-out against Uruguay in the World Cup play-offs earned Australia a place in the World Cup finals, apparently put in the transfer request to Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren after not being picked in the Middlesbrough squad for the FA Cup match against non-league Nuneaton on Saturday.
Manager Steve McClaren said that he is "Disappointed" by Schwarzer's decision, but has accepted the keepers request for a transfer.
