The 22-years-orld Australian International defender wants to move to Poland's Wisla Krakow for a 5-years contract, from his current Romanian Club FC National Bucharest, ruling-out signing for an England based club.

Michael Thwaite is the youngest Socceroo in Guus Hiddink's Squad and made his debut appearance in a 5-0 victory against Jamaica

"The Australian mentality is to rush to England, but I don't agree with that... Because of the television exposure, the English league is pumped up back in Australia," Thwaite said.

"But going to England now didn't suit my intentions at all. I'm 100 per cent clear in my mind that what I've done is the right thing. I can improve myself as a player and as a person.

"This gives me the option to play against big teams and big players, and I'm convinced it will brighten my prospects for the World Cup."

"I'm going to the top team in Poland, one which competes regularly in the Champions League, and I'm going to play for a coach who made it clear he wants me."

Michael Thwaite's current Club demand a much larger price-tag and the deal might not go through until the end of this season.

The 22-years-old has turned down offers from various European sides, in favour of Dan Petresku, one of Romania's football legends and one of the best players to ever represent the national football team.

Dan Petresku has pledged in the past to sign Michael Thwaite, after being very impressed by his performance in the Romanian League.

Wisla Krakow narrowly missed this season's UEFA Champions League Group Stage, after losing at home from Greek Club Panathinaikos FC by 3-2 in a very dramatic preliminary clash.
