Socceroos Coach Guus Hiddink Without Injury Worries Ahead Of Crunch 2nd Leg Match V Uruguay

Socceroos coach Guus Hiddink has no injury concerns to contend with ahead of today’s crucial World Cup qualifying 2nd leg play-off against Uruguay in Sydney and has plenty of attacking options to choose from.

Uruguay, who made the play-off’s due to their fifth place finish in the South America (CONMEBOL) zone, currently lead the tie 1-0 following a first-half goal from Dario Rodriguez in last Saturday’s first-leg match in Montevideo.

Australia's Socceroos, who travelled back from the tie in Uruguay in a specially chartered jet which was fully equipped with massage tables and masseurs, are expected to bring in midfielders Tim Cahill from Everton FC, and Parma’s Marco Bresciano as attacking options in their line-up for the return home-leg of their World Cup play-off.

Uruguay are expected to be without striker Diego Forlan, who played just 17 minutes of the first leg after having struggled with a leg injury he aggravated in training.

Uruguay’s coach Jorge Fossati firmly believes that there is no Australian player that Guus Hiddink could pick in the second leg of tonight’s World Cup Play-Off in Sydney that would worry the ‘Charruas’; "Australia doesn’t have a player that will change the way we approach the game," the coach of the two-time World Cup winners explained.

"We will play the same as we did in the first leg. We expect high pressure from Australia and we will play a solid defence, but we will not just sit back. We will absorb the pressure and start to poke and try to gradually build up pressure ourselves."

The Socceroos need to win in order to reach their first World Cup for 32 years, and will no doubt throw everything they can at the South American heavyweights, but with the first-leg advantage that the Uruguayan’s have under their belt, it's likely to be a tough encounter for both sides.
