Australia coach Guus Hiddink announced his 23 players that will form the squad for their World Cup Finals play-off's against Uruguay. The first-leg of the matches will be played in Montevideo on the 12th of November, with the return leg in Sydney, Australia on the 16th.

Hiddink has called in Ljubo Milicevic to join the squad, while Simon Colosimo, Jon McKain and Jade North were not included. Australian captain Craig Moore's injury has left him out of the squad.

"I've now had the opportunity to work with this group of players a few times and we continue to make improvements. We have picked a squad that is flexible and will be able to adapt. This will be important across the two legs. A lot of preparation has been done".

"The scouting of the opposition and analysis of our own performances has been taking place continuously. We are under no illusions about the task ahead of us. As fifth placed finisher in South America, Uruguay are a powerhouse in world football." coach Guus Hiddink told reporters.

Uruguay will host the first leg in Montevideo on 12 November, while Telstra Stadium will host the 16th November return leg.
