Scotland & Hungary Win In Euro Qualifiers – Everton’s McFadden On Target For Scots – West Brom’s Gera Scores Winner For Hungary
Scotland and Hungary tasted victories in their respective Euro 2008 qualifiers at home on Saturday.
Scotland trounced Lithuania 3-1 in Group B in Glasgow with goals coming from Boyd (31), McManus (77) and McFadden (83). Danilevicius scored the lone goal for the visitors in the 61st minute from the penalty spot.
Scotland took their tally to 18 points but France (18) and World champions Italy (16) are battling later in the day in a tight group.
In a Group C clash, Hungary edged past Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0 at Sostoi, Szekesfehervar.
West Brom’s Zoltan Gera scored the winner in 39th minute from penalty spot.
