Scandalous Penalty and Sending-Off In Spain V Ukraine By FIFA's Appointed Referee

In what was a really controversial decision by the Swiss referee and despite FIFA's assurances about the referees in the Germany's World Cup 2006, Ukraine's Vladyslav Vashchuk was sent off for something he clearly did not do,with Spain being awarded a penalty.

The scandalous decisions by referees in the World Cup continued with Swiss referee Massimo Busacca giving a non-existent penalty and send-off of Vashchuk, leaving Ukraine 3-0 down from the 53rd minute.

Earlier in the game, Andriy Shevchenko was wrongfully signalled off-side in a very threatening incident for Spain's defence, as he was alone and could have easily briken to score, as the player is known for his speed on the break and scoring ability.
