After confirming an interest from Panathinaikos, Javier Saviola's agent confirmed to Spanish radio that Arsenal are interested in bringing the Argentinian international to London.

"There is interest from Arsenal and also various other clubs from places such as Portugal and Spain," Alfredo Carbera said on Radio Barcelona.

"He wants to stay in Spain, but we shall see what happens. We prefer to wait until after the World Cup before we talk publicly," he added.

Carbera sees the Saviola stock being skycketed the past day or so, after Argentina's stunning display against Serbia and Montenegro in the World Cup 2006.
