Real Madrid’s new President, Ramon Calderon, is looking forward to securing former Juventus manager Fabio Cappello as the new manager of Real Madrid, with a host of new signings imminent for the Spanish giants.

Calderon has said that he has certain target signings from Premiership clubs, with AC Milan’s Kaka, Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas and Chelsea’s Arjen Robben major targets, with also the possibility of signing Manchester United’s Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Speaking to Sky Sports News on Wednesday Calderon said: "Fabio Cappello is signing today and will be joining the club today, he will start working tomorrow with the first-team."

When asked about new players coming in, Calderon was sure to state that the final decision on any new players moving to the Bernabeu.

"We are trying to bring three (players) in. We need to get an agreement with the clubs."

Speaking about Chelsea and Holland winger Arjen Robben, Calderon said that there had been previous contact with Robben regarding a move and that a deal is still in the pipe-line: "In theory we can get an agreement, that is what they told me. I understand that is correct.

"The player (Robben) wants to come here, to Real Madrid."

Regarding Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas he said: "He wants apparently to come here.

"We have been talking to him previously and of course we now have to get in touch with Arsenal, they have the last-word in this," later saying he saw the likelihood of a move as "70/30".

"The third one is Kaka, the Brazilian playing in (AC) Milan. We know that it is going to be difficult because Milan do not want to sell the player, but if the player wants to leave, it gives us more possibilities."

When asked about the possible signing of unsettled Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, Calderon said: "I think he’s one of the options, but I am not quite sure, it is the decision of Cappello to have van Nistelrooy here.

"We will have to wait until this evening, when Cappello is here, to know exactly what he wants and of course to know if we can pay all that money."

Whatever happens, there will be some major changes at the Bernabeu, but one person who is not going to be leaving is former England captain David Beckham.

"He is very, very important for us in every sense. He is a brilliant player, magnificent," said Calderon. "All the supporters here love him and he is very important from the commercial area.

"I want to have him with us forever," finished the Real Madrid president.
