Real Madrid Midfielder David Beckham To Attend European XI’s Outing At Manchester United In Charity Match

The European Commission named a star-studded squad to play Manchester United in a charity football match to mark a joint 50th anniversary celebration of the creation of the European Union and of United becoming the first English side to play in UEFA’s European club competition, at Old Trafford on March 13.

Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham, who has been ruled out through knee injury, will watch his former England team-mates and Premiership rivals - Liverpool players Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher – play against his former club.

Brazilian stars - Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Juninho - will play as “guests” as they cannot be eligible for a “Europe XI” team.
