Real Madrid Arrive At A Deal With AC Milan Over Ronaldo
Real Madrid’s Brazilian striker Ronaldo can expect to play again regularly as his club has reportedly agreed a deal with AC Milan.
The 30-year-old Ronaldo had been declared surplus to Real’s requirements by coach Fabio Capello and faced a prospect of languishing on the bench once Capello had said he could not count on the former three times world player of the year.
Ronaldo has one-and-a-half year contract left at Real.
But on Thursday, Italian newspaper La Repubblica said, after lengthy deliberations AC Milan were willing to pay Real 7.5 million euros for the last remaining Galactico as David Beckham has already signed a deal at MLS side LA Galaxy.
Earlier, Real and Milan were deadlocked over the value of the player with the Spanish giants refusing to budge under eight million euros and the Italians were stuck on five million.
Ronaldo is expected to fly to Milan later on Thursday for a medical.
Ronaldo joined Real in 2002 from Milan’s city rivals Inter, for 45 million euros.
