Poland Buoyed By Players Return For England Match - Liverpool's Dudek, and Celtic's Zurawski Return From Injury

Poland and Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek, and Celtic FC striker Maciej Zurawski have both recovered from injuries in time for Wednesday's World Cup Group 6 decider against England at Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium.

Dudek has been slowly returning to fitness after injuring his right elbow in training for his club side Liverpool in early August. Zurawski had aggravated a thigh strain in last Friday's friendly win against Iceland, and was considered the Poles' main injury worry for the England game.

They will be missing the industrious playmaker Miroslaw Szymkowiak, and striker Tomasz Frankowski, the team's leading scorer in the qualifying rounds so far. They will be looking towards Zurawski, and Grzegorz Rasiak from Tottenham Hotspur for striking options.

Coach Pawel Janas's team for the England match also includes midfielder Marcin Kaczmarek, who is making his debut with the National team.

"I have 22 players to choose from, including Zurawski... and Dudek," Coach Janas told the Polish news agency PAP.

Poland currently lead Group Six with 24 points and a draw is enough for the Pole's to retain first place in the group above England. Both teams are guaranteed their places at the finals regardless of the outcome, but questions still exist as to whether the result will affect the seedings, when FIFA make the group draws for the finals.
