Egypt managed to win the trophy in the Cairo International Stadium yesterday after an impressive win over Senegal in the friendly tournament's final.

Amr Zaki's goals in the 86th and the 94th minute sent the 50,000 strong Cairo crowds into oblivion and won the $50,000 tournament award.

Egypt managed to recover after conceiving a goal just two minutes into the game when Senegal's Frederic Mendy opened the score. Egypt tried hard to equalise, and managed to do so with Hassan Moustafa in the 14th minute of the game.

Egypt's Emad Moteb's goal on the 22nd minute gave the hosts the lead in the game. The first half ended with Egypt leading the game. However, just 5 minutes into the second half, Senegal managed to equalise.

The game seemed to be getting to a draw for most of the second half, as both teams did not want to take risks in their defence and midfield, with the ball mainly being played in the midfield.

However Pharaoh's Amr Zaki gave the win to Egypt with two late goals. Having scored his fourth goal in two games makes him the most valuable player in Egypt.
