Peru 1-2 Bolivia Halftime Copa America 2007: DC's Jaime Moreno Gives Bolivia Lead, Chelsea's Pizarro Levels Campos Scores Second

Bolivia are currently leading Peru 2-1 at half-time in their final Copa América 2007 Group A match at the Estadio Metropolitano in Mérida on Tuesday.

Bolivia took the lead in the 24th minute, with a long-range strike from outside the penalty area from Jaime Moreno.

Moreno, who is a forward with DC United in the MLS, picked up the ball outside of the Peru area, and seeing that the Peru keeper Leao Butrón was off his line, lobbed the ball perfectly over Butrón to open the scoring.

Peru captain and Chelsea striker Claudio Pizarro levelled for Peru nine minutes later, but Bolivia - needing a win to be sure of continuing in the South American tournament - took the lead in the dying minute of the first-half, with Jhasmany Campos taking Bolivia into a 2-1 lead at half-time.
