Paraguay Goalkeeper Justo Villar to Miss the Entire World Cup After England Injury
The Paraguayan keeper Justo Villar, who injured himself after an exit from his area during the England v Paraguay match, will miss the rest of the World Cup, according to Paraguay's medical team.
It was initially anticipated that Villar would only miss the remaining Group B matches, but a new scan yesterday revealed that he won't be able to recover until after a month.
Justo Villar was taken out of the pitch in tears, which by itself indicated that he was aware of the severity of his injury.
Osvaldo Pangrazio, one of the team's doctors, said that it would take at least 4 weeks for his injury to recover, as the scan shows that his injury is much worse.
"It's a five-centimetre tear, with a hematoma of more than 10 centimetres. It's a serious injury," Pangrazio said about the injury when asked by reporters.
