Paraguay & Bayern Striker Roque Santa Cruz To Miss Opening World Cup Match V England

Bayern Munich and Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz has been told he has to to rest his injured knee in his attempts to be fit for Paraguay’s opening World Cup game against England on June 10.



Team doctors decided to keep their star striker out of training until at least today, in the hope of him making a full recovery from the knee problem that kept him out of their listless 1-1 draw against Denmark, in Aarhus last Sunday.

“We don’t want to make any mistakes with his recovery,” stated the team doctor Osvaldo Insfran.
