Paraguay & Bayern Striker Roque Santa Cruz Ruled-Out Of England World Cup Opener

Bayern Munich and Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz has been ruled-out of Paraguay’s opening World Cup game against England on June 10.

Team doctors thought that the player was making a full recovery from the knee problem that kept him out of their 1-1 draw against Denmark in Aarhus at the end of May, and that he would be fit to feature against England.

But he has been forced to withdraw from training on Wednesday with a recurrence of the injury.
