Palace Accept Bid For Striker Andrew Johnson From Wigan Athletic
Crystal Palace have accepted a bid of £8.5 million for England and Palace striker Andrew Johnson.
Wigan Athletic have had the bid for the talented striker accepted and Johnson is looking to secure the move on Friday.
Speaking to the Wigan official site, Wigan Chief Executive Brenda Spencer confirmed that the club had seen two of their high profile bids accepted, the other is thought to be for Chelsea's German defender Robert Huth.
"I can confirm that we have made a number of substantial bids for high-profile players and that two of those bids have been accepted.
'We are also busy pursuing other targets. However, I have learned over the years, and it is even more relevant at this level, that patience is a virtue when it comes to transfer dealings."
