England striker Michael Owen cannot wait to return to the England team for their crucial World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland in Belfast tomorrow. He is likely return to to partner Wayne Rooney in attack for the game tomorrow in Belfast's Windsor Park.

Owen missed the last England match, Englands 1-0 win over Wales last Saturday, having been suspended for having received 2 yellow cards in the previous qualifying matches.

At a press conference in Belfast this afternoon, Michael Owen said how he felt being a spectator for the match, "It was when the National anthems were being played that it really hit home", "the atmosphere was electric".

He went on, "I was gutted with those two bookings I receieved, I don't normally get two yellow cards in a year"..."I really wanted to play in that game".

When asked what threat he thought the Northern Ireland team would pose he said "I'm expecting a confident Northern Irish side. They got a great result (on Saturday) against Azerbaijan, and should be quite confident from that game"

As to whether he prefers to play a lone role up-front..."I think what we, (England), do...is to have me pull defenders away, and let the other striker have space to play in".

"I would like to think, with the quality we have in the team, that we can stick a chance or two away".

England keeper Paul Robinson missed training today, after hearing that his house had been burgled.
