Olympiacos Blasts Yaya Toure's Comments - Agent Not Licensed FIFA Says

The management of Olympiacos FC in Greece blasted Yaya Toure's agent Dimitri Seluk's defamatory comments for the team's financial affairs with the Ivory Coast international. FIFA denied that Seluk is licensed to manage the player's rights.

Following a series of comments and false allegations against Olympiacos by the player himself and by his agent in which Yaya Toure alleged that he was owed money from the Club, while criticising the recent transfer moves, Olympiacos threatened Toure that he would be penalised if his comments were proven to be originating from him.

Most defamatory comments were made by the player's agent and Olympiacos now considers him irrelevant, cutting all communications channels. The management is said to be very disappointed with the Ivory Coast player and unless Toure provides credible explanations about the incident, it is expected that he will be not included for next season's plans.

This development spells the beginning of the end between the player and the team, as Yaya Toure has only spoken positively about the prospect of moving to an English Club. Olympiacos seems to not be willing to tolerate Toure's behaviour and a divorce in their relationship is now imminent.

The Club contacted FIFA, the governing body of World Football, to verify if Dimitri Seluk is licensed to do so. In a fax which is published on the team's website, FIFA denies that Seluk is listed as a licensed agent. You can view the fax at:
