Newcastle’s Michael Owen Returns To International Action – Blackburn’s Bentley & Reading’s Shorey To Debut For England B

Striker Michael Owen will play his first international since that knee injury he picked in the opening minutes of World Cup match against Sweden last summer, as the Newcastle United man is named in the England B side to face Albania in a friendly at Burnley on Friday.

Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Bentley and Reading left back Nicky Shorey will make their debut.

Owen and Manchester United's Alan Smith, who gets a recall after an impressive return this season from injury problems, will spearhead the attack.
