Czech Republic striker West Ham's Petr Mikolanda, has recovered from injury and is available for the Czech Republic's must win play off match. His English Premiership Club, West Ham's assistant boss Kevin Keen, is backing striker Petr Mikolanda to bounce back from his injury problems and prove his worth to both club and country.

The Czech Republic Under-21 international scored the only goal of the game for the West Ham's reserve team against Norwich on Wednesday, with a spectacular diving header. Keen said: "It's been a difficult time for Petr. He impressed during pre-season, but since signing for the club has been unlucky with injuries". "It was unfortunate that he picked up an injury at Northampton and couldn't play as much football as he would have liked. "But he's come back here and played well against Norwich. He's still got a lot to learn, but Petr has got that knack of scoring goals in the box, be it with his head or his feet, and that is a great attribute for any player".

"The Czech Republic Under-21s have got a big game against Germany next week, I'm sure he'll be involved in that and it's something he'll really want to do well in, but his National team's senior squad coach has already said that he may be in line for a call up sooner rather than later."
