Mexico Goalkeeper Oswaldo Sanchez Re-Joins Squad After Father's Funeral
Oswaldo Sanchez, who suffered a tragic setback with the death of his father, returned to Germany to re-join the Ricardo Lavolpe's team, confident about winning their opening match against Iran's 'Team Melli'.
"I feel good. I'm happy, because we're going to win tomorrow," Sanchez said. "Everyone in Guadalajara gave me a lot of support. Tomorrow's a big game, and I'm very motivated."
Sanchez's practice during today's training session revealed that he nears the fitness he had before the incident with his father, which forced him to fly back to Mexico.
The incident was a major setback for the player, as his father was due to arrive in Germany to see him play in Mexico's opening match.
