Mexico Coach Ricardo Lavolpe Names Squad To Face Ghana's Black Stars In World Cup Warm-Up

Mexico Coach Ricardo Lavolpe has called up uncapped Argentine-born forward Guillermo Franco and striker Luis Angel Landin for their World Cup warm-up match against fellow finalists Ghana next Wednesday.

La Volpe has also recalled Bolton Wanderers striker, and record Mexico goal-scorer Jared Borgetti to an 18-man squad but has not called on the experienced Cuauhtemoc Blanco.

The match against Ghana's Black Stars is scheduled to be played across the U.S. border in the Pizza Hut Stadium in the Texan city of Frisco.

Mexico have been drawn in Group D with Angola, Iran and Portugal at the World Cup in Germany.

Ghana are in Group E with Italy, Czech Republic and the U.S.A.

Goalkeepers: Oswaldo Sanchez (Guadalajara), Jesus Corona (Tecos UAG)

Defenders: Jose Antonio Castro (America), Diego Martinez, Javier Rodriguez (both Guadalajara), Ricardo Osorio, Joel Huiqui (both Cruz Azul), Gonzalo Pineda (Guadalajara), Mario Perez (Necaxa)

Midfielders: Pavel Pardo (America), Antonio Naelson (Toluca), Luis Perez (Monterrey), Jose Andres Guardado (Atlas), Gerardo Torrado (Cruz Azul)

Strikers: Guillermo Franco (Villarreal), Jared Borgetti (Bolton Wanderers), Omar Bravo (Guadalajara), Luis Angel Landin (Pachuca).
