Mexican club Chivas Confirm Interest For Bolton Wanderers' Jared BorgettiSubmitted by Pavlos Skoufis on Fri, 30/12/2005 - 17:24.
Stirring more speculation for January's Transfer Window, Mexican club Chivas have confirmed that they hope to convince Borgetti to move back to Mexico. Sam Allardyce has not been giving the Mexican international many chances to prove himself recently. In the last Bolton game Borgetti played only for 4 minutes. He is trying to get more time with Bolton, but 'Big Sam' has yet to put him in the starting lineup in this season's Premiership matches. Before Christmas, Jared Borgetti denied he is thinking a move to Mexico. "If I'm sad it's because I'm not playing. I'll stay here and keep training until I play," Jared Borgetti told reporters in England. Sam Allardyce has also categorically denied anyone will be moving clubs during January's Transfer Window. Jorge Vergaga, Chivas' President, told reporters in Mexico that he hoped Borgetti will be tempted by his Club's offer, as it will give him more chances to play and keep fit for next summer's World Cup Finals in Mexico. "We are hoping he will be our big acquisition in the New Year which will also help him to be in better shape to play for Mexico in the World Cup in Germany," Vergaga said. in favorites | email this page
