Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo In Doubt For Portugal’s Euro 2008 Qualifier Against Serbia After Picking Up Injury
Manchester United’s Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo suffered a sprain in training on Tuesday and is doubtful to feature in Wednesday’s Euro 2008 qualifier against Serbia in Belgrade.
22-year-old Ronaldo, who scored twice in Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side’s 4-0 win over Belgium on Saturday, was injured towards the final few minutes of the training session at Red Star Belgrade stadium, a Portuguese Football Federation spokesman informed.
Portugal, who are third in Group A three points behind leaders Poland, would hope the exciting winger recovers to feature in the match where he will come face to face with his Red Devils team-mate Nemanja Vidic.
