Liverpool Boss Rafa Benitez Wants To Bring New Players In To Anfield Before World Cup Begins
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has insisted that the club must sign some quality players before the World Cup begins in June.
The Spaniard also wants to get clarification from the Liverpool board as to what his spending budget will be for the summer purchases.
Speaking at a press conference prior to Sunday's Anfield showdown against Bolton Wanderers, Benitez said: "I don't know at the moment what my budget is.
"I'm not really thinking about it although it will be easier to achieve what I'm trying to achieve if I have money.
"Before the World Cup I hope to know more about the financial situation."
The former Valencia CF manager knows that a players price-tag can often increase if they have a successful tournament and wants bring in some quality players before the World Cup begins on June 9.
"We can't wait until after the World Cup. We need to know before then and try and bring them in," finished the Liverpool boss.
