Liverpool Boss Rafa Benitez "Has No Problems" At Anfield - Denying Links With Real Madrid & Inter Milan
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has once again discounted himself from any links with a summer move to either Spanish giants Real Madrid or Italy’s Inter Milan, instead insisting that he is happy to stay as boss at Anfield.
There have been reports suggesting that the Spaniard was ready to quit his job as Liverpool manager unless he receives a £30 million transfer funds from the Liverpool board in the summer, but Benitez says he has no plans to leave Merseyside, and is concentrating solely on tonight's Champions League clash against Benfica.
“I don't have any problems with the board, the chief executive or the chairman,” said Benitez.
“If we win this game it could make things easier financially. I don't like talking about other things. The most important thing is that we focus on the match." Liverpool are facing Portugal's Benfica in the second-leg of their Champions League encounter, which Benfica currently lead 1-0.
“I am only concerned about winning and improving with Liverpool. Worrying about other things will only distract us from the objective,” finished the Spaniard.
