Korea Republic drew 0-0 with Norway, in a tentative performance at the Ullevaal Stadium, Oslo, on Thursday. The Group G contenders were playing their penultimate warm-up game before facing Togo on June 13 and fielded a reserve-laden side with limited attacking intentions.

Norway had most of the possession and play in a game in which neither side created many scoring chances. Lyon striker John Carew probably came closest for the home side when he shot over the bar in the first half after being played free on the right.

South Korea's Dutch coach Dick Advocaat was happy with the result ahead of the World Cup finals. "I know from my time in the Netherlands that this is a difficult place to play. I'm happy with the result." Advocaat said after the game. "This was not our strongest team, five, six or seven of our best players were not playing,” he continued, “but I realise that we must improve football-wise."

Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung sat out the match, as he recovered from an ankle injury picked up in training. Korea’s next game will be against Group E qualifiers Ghana on June 4 in Scotland and Advocaat said he would be fielding a stronger side for this game.
