Czech Republic striker Jan Koller has signed a two-year contract with French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco. The 33-year old was out of contract with his previous club Borussia Dortmund, and had a medical at the French club on Monday, which he passed.

Koller, who has been out for several months following knee surgery, made his return to international football at the weekend and played a decisive role in the Czech Republic’s 3-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago in Prague, scoring two goals and setting up the other for Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved.

He is the all-time leading goal scorer for either the Czech Republic or the former Czechoslovakia, with 42 goals in 68 matches.
