Tottenham Hotspur boss Martin Jol has confirmed that Aaron Lennon is out of tonight's Carling Cup quarter-finals against Southend United at White Hart Lane.

Jol said: “Aaron is still not 100 per cent so he will be out, he’s not quite fit enough to be in the squad tomorrow and we’ll have another look on Friday for the Newcastle game. Hossam Ghaly had a dead leg at Manchester City and a knock on his back, so he’s not in the squad. Robbie Keane is doing well but both he and Jermaine Jenas are both out for another couple of weeks.”

“Didier Zokora is also out suspended, he’ll be back in consideration for Newcastle.”
