Keane Out For At Least 8 Weeks Now!Submitted by Neville Nixon on Sun, 18/09/2005 - 22:21.
Republic Of Ireland manager Jim Kerr, must be wondering which black cat he ran over in the last few days, only recently having discovered that the potential long term injury to his talismatic captain, English Premier League team Manchester Utd's Club Captain Roy Keane, was far more short term than long term. Kerr now has to face up to the prospect that his star player will definitley be sidelined for the ROI's crucial remaining efforts at qualifying for next year's FIFA World Cup Tournament in Germany 2006. Keane broke the same bone in his foot as his ex- Manchester Utd colleague David Beckham did, causing such malaise, when he was representing both Utd and England in the last World Cup finals, the metatarsal, not a big bone, but for a tough tackling defender, one that will require a complete recovery period. Keane broke the bone in his left foot during the 0-0 draw between Liverpool FC and Manchester United, in the English Premiership game at Anfield this weekend. This further set back has severley decreased the Emerald Isle's chances of qualification, make no doubt about it, an increasingly injury prone Roy keane, is becoming a de-stabilising emotional liability! in favorites | email this page
