Germany World Cup 2006 Organising Committee president Franz Beckenbauer arrived in Ivory Coast (Cote D'Ivoire) yesterday to deliver the country's official invitation from the German organisers. Kaiser appeared optimistic about Ivory Coast's chanced of progressing to the Knockout Stages of the soccer tournament.

Ivory Coast's Group C is labelled by many as the toughest group of the competition's Group Stage. They will play against Argentina, Holland and Serbia & Montenegro. "Ivory Coast are facing a very, very difficult group...it's probably the most difficult group of all," Kaiser told reporters during his visit to the West African state.

"It's a great challenge for them and there's a prognostic that if Ivory Coast survives this group phase, they have a good chance to get to the final," Beckenbauer added.

Ivory Coast was the last stop of the Organising Committee president's tour of the African nations that have qualified for next summer's World Cup 2006 tournament. He is expected to visit America, Australia and the European countries that have qualified by mid-February 2006.
