Italy's Lippi Calls On Strong Azzuri Squad For Group 5 Matches

'Azzuri' coach Marcello Lippi has named his squad for Italy's upcoming World Cup Europe Zone qualifiers against Slovenia and Moldova starting on the 8th of October.

With just one point enough for the Azzuri to automatically qualify as winners of Group 5 in the Europe Zone, and participate in next summers World Cup finals, Lippi has chosen a full strength squad for the two remaining fixtures.

With qualification an almost certainty, Lippi seems to already have an idea of the team he will be expecting to field in Germany next June, and it is a great opportunity for the players that are generally expected to be chosen for next summers finals to gather, for a bit of team bonding.

Italy squad: (team to be chosen from)

Goalkeepers:
Morgan De Sanctis (Udinese), Angelo Peruzzi (Lazio).

Defenders:
Daniele Bonera (Parma), Fabio Cannavaro (Juventus), Fabio Grosso (Palermo), Marco Materazzi (Inter Milan), Alessandro Nesta (AC Milan), Cristian Zaccardo (Palermo), Gianluca Zambrotta (Juventus)

Midfielders:

i think filippo inzaghi is the best striker in Italy and i think he deserves to be at the first starting eleven in azzuri. Also, the experiences and the wonderful skill of Roberto Baggio shows that he deserves to be chosen as coach or assistant manager..

Forza Azzuri !!!!!
