Inter Milan head coach Roberto Mancini has played down talk of a summer swoop for Manchester United and Netherlands striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The Dutch forward been strongly linked with a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan after falling out of the first-team picture at Old Trafford in recent weeks, but Mancini says now is not the time to talk about a possible transfer.

The Italian manager is keen to add a world-class striker to the Inter ranks in the summer and have also been linked with moves for Arsenal's Thierry Henry and Brazilian superstar Ronaldo, who is unsettled at his current club, Real Madrid.

Mancini has hinted that he would be interested in signing van Nistelrooy in the summer, but says for now, all the talk of a move is nothing more than rumours.

“It's useless to think about Ronaldo or Henry or Van Nistelrooy,” said Mancini.

“We're just speculating about names. The only time we should think about such players is when the market comes about. And that still has some time to go.”

Real Madrid and AC Milan have also been linked with a move for the Dutch striker as speculation mounts that the Dutch striker will be transferred out from Old Trafford in the summer.
