Holland v Argentina Match Preview: PSV's Cocu, Feyenoord's Kuyt & Liverpool's Kromkamp Likely To Start For Oranje

Holland’s Oranje face Argentina’s Albiceleste in their last World Cup Group C match in Frankfurt on Wednesday in a game that could see both teams top the so-called 'Group of Death'.

With both teams having qualified for the next round, both Marco van Basten and his Argentinian counterpart Jose Pekerman are likely to rest key players.

Barcelona’s Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Mark van Bommel, Chelsea’s Arjen Robben and AZ Alkmaar defender Joris Mathijsen, are all on yellow cards and are unlikey to be risked for the match, as two bookings in the group stages means players would be banned for the next knockout game.

PSV Eindhoven midfielder Philip Cocu is expected to feature for the Oranje after recuperating from his ankle problem.

Argentina's Luis Gonzalez is out with a groin strain, while key midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme is likely to be rested for the match.

Manchester United’s Gabriel Heinze, Saviola and Hernan Crespo, who are all on yellow-cards, are also unlikely to play to avoid suspension.

Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt is likely to start the match, with Liverpool's Jan Kromkamp coming in at right-back.

Argentina are likely to leave their teenage starlet Lionel Messi on the bench despite his excellent performance in the game against Serbia & Montenegro, with Pablo Aimar, Carlos Tevez and Julio Cruz poised to make the starting line-up.

Gabriel Milito is likely to start in place of Gabriel Heinze who has also just recovered from a long-term injury and is likely to be rested for the match.
