Holland and Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt is expected to decide on his club future within the next few days, with top Premiership clubs hoping to sign the Oranje World Cup star.

The 25-year-old Feyenoord striker has been a reported target of both Liverpool and Newcastle among other Premiership clubs, and has already stated his desire to play in The Premiership.

Now, after Feyenoord's failure to qualify for the Champions League next season, he may choose to leave the Rotterdam club and has asked his club for some time-off as he considers whether to commit himself further to the Eredivisie club.

Kuyt said to Dutch publication AD Sportwereld: “I have an arrangement with (Feyenoord) coach Erwin Koeman that I can take some more days to think about my future.”

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has been chasing the Dutch international striker’s signature for over a year, but since the injury to Newcastle striker Michael Owen, Newcastle may be ready to outbid The Reds for the signature of Kuyt.

Feyenoord may be forced to reluctantly accept an offer reported to be in the region of £10m (€14m) for Kuyt after reported interest from not only Liverpool and Newcastle, but also Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
